Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition & subtraction & in reading writing & speaking common English vocabulary;

AND 6 mos. trg. or 6 mos. maintenance repair work (e.g. basic electricity plumbing carpentry masonry repair & use of associated hand & power tools & equipment);

AND Valid commercial drivers license required if motor equipment is of type & size regulated by sections 4506.01 & 4506.12 of Ohio revised code.

• This position is essential meaning the duties this job performs are critical to the continued operations of the Ohio Department of Public Safety during a public safety emergency (OAC 123:& DAS Directive HR-D-11). What Youll Do as a Maintenance Repair Worker 2

• Performs maintenance replacement installation & repair of electrical and plumbing equipment.
• Performs carpentry work involving maintenance alteration &/or repair of buildings equipment & wood structures.
• Performs basic painting.
• Operates state vehicle to transport various equipment tools parts materials & supplies to various locations throughout the state or to transport vehicle to dealership for service or repair.
• Performs minor custodial duties.
• Performs general exterior grounds keeping duties.
• Performs minor maintenance on Division vehicles.
