The Senior Project Manager is a pivotal role within the PTT organization responsible for driving the effective and efficient implementation of large complex and cross-functional regional operations technology programs. This position maximizes project management expertise continuous improvement methodologies and technical and digital capabilities to deliver significant business value in a dynamic work environment. The role reports to the SRO Group Lead/ Senior Director North America and is a member of the Project Program and Portfolio team in PTT which provides strategic and tactical business support for technology initiative prioritization and execution of technical roadmaps.
The Senior Project Manager is critical for collaborating with technical leaders across the organization to facilitate large-scale systemic change for the implementation of capabilities that align with the PT Performance Promises encompassing project management financial oversight and change management.
Acts as a strategic partner and thought leader to the PTT and PTE (Digital and Operational Excellence) Leadership Team members driving capability building needs organization design and alignment with PT Strategy while challenging the status quo and identifying improvement opportunities.
Strategizes and leads program planning mobilizes teams gains agreement for solutions and supports the PTT and PTE operating model. Oversees program/project activities baseline schedules and controls costs while ensuring timely completion of deliverables and adherence to budgets ($0.5M$5M).
Builds strong networks across the enterprise forming partnerships with stakeholders and vendors and ensuring project objectives are clear agreed upon and effectively communicated.
Drives cross-functional strategic initiatives manages interdependencies and provides guidance to project teams including vendors. Facilitates workshops sprints and governance approaches for successful implementation.
Develops strategies for digital knowledge management using analytical tools and insights for data-driven decision-making and supports digital transformation with processes tools and sustainability initiatives.
Formulates risk mitigation strategies analyzes facilities and asset performance and optimizes value generation while ensuring regulatory compliance and balancing sustainability goals with financial considerations.
Applies lean and agile methodologies for continuous improvement E2E process optimization and workshop management acting as a role model for an agile mindset and contributing to measurable value realization.
Defines and implements tailored change management plans for senior stakeholders promoting agile concepts and driving cultural shifts and communicates strategies effectively to ensure smooth transitions and adoption.
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced leader with a strong technical background and a proven track record in project and program management within regulated manufacturing environments who is also able to travel domestically and internationally up to approximately 20%.
Bachelors Degree or equivalent in Business Engineering Information Systems or Life Sciences with 7 or more years of experience in Project Management in regulated fields (medical/combo devices pharmaceutical operations or digital transformation). An MBA and/or PMI/Agile certification is highly desirable.
Extensive experience in CMC (Chemistry Manufacturing and Controls) managing complex projects/programs including Drug Substance Devices and Drug Product GMP manufacturing technologies. Is proficient in Agile Scrum and other methodologies including risk mitigation and has experience mentoring Project Managers.
Leadership in influencing stakeholders managing competing priorities and building strong networks across business functions up to the executive level. Displays exceptional people skills trust-building and collaborative abilities in dynamic matrixed and global environments.
Advanced understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes digital enablement and trends like robotics and emerging technologies. Experienced in financial management and vendor management from RFP ideation to implementation.
Operational Excellence and LEAN methodologies with a proven track record of continuous improvement initiatives and the ability to deliver results in fast-paced ambiguous and complex environments. Exercises sound judgment sets strategic direction and independently manages commitments and deliverables.
