We have an outstanding opportunity in our Climate Change and Ocean Directorate for an Outreach Coordinator (Blue Charter).
The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating outreach amongst Blue Charter member countries and partners assisting the organisation of Blue Charter meetings and project management of the Commonwealth Blue Charter Incubator Grants Programme. They will also be required to contribute to strategic planning discussions for the Commonwealth Blue Charter particularly concerning outreach and coordination.
Other responsibilities entailed in this role include (but are not limited to):
The position may include some overseas travel.
To be considered you must have a first degree in Business Administration Law Political Science Environmental Science/Policy a Social Science Communications or similar plus a minimum of five years of combined experience in project coordination outreach communications grant management or external relations activities preferably gained in an international development setting.
A good understanding of ocean issues experience of working with one or more Commonwealth governments and/or experience implementing grants is desirable.
