Job Summary

Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated individual with a love for nurturing young minds We are seeking a dynamic Educator to join our vibrant Early Learning Centre and make a positive impact on the lives of our little learners.

Position: Educator (Certificate III or Diploma-qualified)

Employment type:

  • Fixed term position available commencing 6 January 2026 to 7 August 2026 is whilst one of our Educators takes parental leave.
  • Part-time 37.5 hours per week.

The Early Learning Centre at Saint Stephens College is a 68-place three-room service providing early education and care for children aged 2.5 years to school age. Our rooms operate above the required staff-to-child ratios allowing our educators to provide high-quality interactions meaningful learning experiences and strong relationships with every child.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with children through creative and educational activities fostering a positive and supportive learning environment.
  • Assist the room leader with implementing age-appropriate curriculum and activities under the National Quality Framework the Early Years Learning Framework and the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines.
  • Build strong relationships with children and their families.
  • Assist with observations and support childrens developmental needs by sharing observations with senior educators for documentation and planning.
  • Collaborate with the team to create a well-rounded educational experience.

Saint Stephens College has a commitment to child safety and as such Educators will be responsible for understanding and applying the College Child Safe Policy and Procedure Child Protection Policy and Procedure and Child Risk Management Strategy and associated policies and guidelines.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • An ACECQA-approved Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or be actively working towards a completion of one of these qualifications
  • A passion for early childhood education and understanding of childrens growth and development.
  • Knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework National Quality Framework and the Queensland Kindergarten guidelines and able to implement age appropriate programming
  • Experience as an Educator
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills with the ability to maintain positive relationships with children staff and parents.

Mandatory Clearances/Certifications

  • Blue Card in accordance with No Card No Link No Start law as per the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000
  • First Aid Certificate and CPR Certification
