The Riviera Club is creating a new ala carte experience and you have the opportunity to be a part of building something special. The Riviera Club was established in 1933 and has one of the largest outdoor pools in the United States. As a Line Cook you will learn that teamwork timing and communication are essential to everyones success. You may find yourself working a variety of stations and positions as well as other culinary team members assisting you throughout the shift. All positions require great attention to detail while maintaining a clean and sanitary station. Everyone is responsible for maintaining correct temperatures of food as well as upholding all other health department specifications to ensure consistency quality and safety of our food for our Members and guests. We take pride in the product we serve our Members and their guests!
A Line Cooks Responsibilities include
Prepare a variety of meats seafood poultry vegetables sauces and other food items for cooking on flat top fryers and a variety of other kitchen equipment according to Chef specifications
Work in multiple areas in the kitchen (ex. fryer sauté grill)
Assume responsibility for quality of products served
Commit to 100% Member satisfaction 100% of the time
Protect the Club and guests by adhering to sanitation and safety control policies and storing/handling food correctly
Be a team player lending a helping hand to fellow team members when needed
Restock all areas of the kitchen with necessary product (food dry stock pantry items paper goods etc.)
Cook plate and present dishes according to menu specifications including following recipes and presentation standards
Maintain a clean and organized work area (Including but not limited to:sweeping and mopping floors cleaning/sanitizing workspaceswashing dishes and utensils changing oil clean and organize cooler/freezer space and maintaining inventory levels)
Communicate effectively with other team members including the kitchen staff and management
Attend all scheduled employee meetings and maintain a positive attitude with a pleasant demeanor.
Other duties assigned by the Executive Chef Sous Chef or Riviera Club Management
