Join ASMLs software testing team and contribute to the development of next-generation lithography systems. Our scanners combine advanced hardware and software making testing and qualification a complex challenge. Many subsystems use simulators to validate functionality in isolation. Integrating these simulators can significantly improve software coverage and reduce testing this internship you will explore and implement combinations of simulators for selected use cases.
You will investigate how to integrate multiple subsystem simulators into a unified environment. This approach will help improve test coverage and efficiency for ASMLs EUV machines.
Your main responsibilities will be:
Analyze existing subsystem simulators and their interfaces.
Design an integration approach for selected use cases.
Implement and validate simulator combinations.
Develop scripts and tools to automate integration tasks.
Test and debug integrated simulator environments.
Document your findings and provide recommendations.
Deliver a demo of the wafer exchange use case.
This is a masters internship for a minimum of 3 months (preferably 6 months) minimum 4 days per week (3 days on-site but the team is flexible). The start date of this internship is as of February 2026.
To be suitable for the internship you:
Are enrolled in a masters degree in computer science or embedded systems.
Have programming experience in C C and Python.
Are familiar with Linux-based systems.
Have strong analytical and debugging skills.
Enjoy working in a collaborative and proactive manner.
Other requirements you need to meet
You are enrolled at an educational institutefor the entire duration of the internship;
You need to be located in the Netherlands to be perform your case you re currently living/studying outside of the Netherlands your CV/motivation letter includes the willingness to relocate.
If you are a non-EU citizen studying in the Netherlands your university is willing to sign the documents relevant for doing an internship (i.e. Nuffic agreement).
This position requires access to controlled technology as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. 730 et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
