The Opportunity
This role provides strategic and analytical depth to support effective execution of Abbotts HE&R activities across Asia-Pacific. Reporting to the Regional Director this role acts as the regional integrator for country HE&R teams strengthening strategic insight cross-market alignment and capacity-building. The position plays a critical role in enabling consistent high-quality delivery of HE&R initiatives including but not limited to early access strategy reimbursement dossiers and evidence generation support.
What Youll Do
- Support the Regional Director in translating regional HE&R strategies into actionable deliverables.
- Coordinate multi-country projects to ensure consistent standards and alignment with business priorities.
- Partner with regional and in-country business and HE&R teams to track progress share best practices and identify cross-market opportunities.
- Lead or oversee strategic initiatives such as early access strategies net present value-based scenario modelling cost-effectiveness analyses value-guided pricing approaches and budget-impact assessments.
- Review and provide input on country submissions to obtain device reimbursement via HTA or other relevant reimbursement evaluation processes clinical evidence plans and reimbursement dossiers.
- Optimize processes by developing standardized templates guidance documents and tools to ensure analytical consistency across the region.
- Manage a direct and/or indirect team providing technical and strategic support across APAC including workload allocation project prioritization and quality control while building analytical capability and ensuring strong coordination.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with regulatory clinical marketing and finance teams on health economics and reimbursement-related initiatives.
- Prepare strategic materials and presentations including regional plans and portfolio assessments for senior leadership and global counterparts.
- Ensure smooth communication project tracking and reporting consistency within the HE&R APAC team.
- Contribute to regional HE&R knowledge sharing training and best-practice development.
- Monitor reimbursement and policy trends to inform regional initiatives and evidence-generation priorities.
Requirements
- MBA or Masters degree in Health Economics Life Sciences or Public Health.
- 710 years of experience in Market Access Health Economics Reimbursement or Healthcare Access Strategy within medical devices pharmaceuticals or strategy consulting - preferably with exposure across multiple APAC countries.
- Proven track record in developing and implementing reimbursement strategies and applying strategic frameworks to analyze complex market access and business scenarios for senior leadership.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multi-country projects and conduct economic analyses for market access scenario planning in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Strong understanding of APAC healthcare systems and reimbursement frameworks across both developed and emerging markets.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to work effectively in a matrixed organization with regional and global stakeholders.
- Fluency in written and spoken English; proficiency in an additional Asian language is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to operationalize complex ideas.
- Effective team leadership and collaboration across diverse cultural and organizational contexts.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication across regional and country teams.
- Proven ability to deliver high-quality analytical and strategic outputs under tight timelines.
- Proactive structured and self-directed with a commitment to functional excellence.
