Job Summary
Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Manager The Grocery people (TGP) Business Development on a permanent basis on our Independent Business team. This position is a hybrid opportunity and can be based anywhere in Western Canada. This position requires extensive travel within Western Canada up to 50%.

What youll do:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities and convert prospects into clients.
- Increase The Grocery People (TGP) brand visibility by attending industry events conducting market calls and building relationships internally and externally.
- Analyze industry trends and data to identify improvements lead cross-functional initiatives and present strategic recommendations.
- Set and monitor operational standards support teams with coaching and resources and provide leadership through training and performance development.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external partners to align strategies support growth initiatives and ensure seamless execution across the business.
Who youll work with:
The Team: In addition to direct involvement in business development activities to grow wholesale business you will lead a team of Sales Leads / Managers to grow sales in their areas of the business and report into the Director Independent team strives to cultivate a culture that is collaborative results-oriented and client centric.
The Customers: You will demonstrate customer focus while identifying and pursuing new growth opportunities that strengthen the business.

Who you are:
You are looking for a career in Business Development and:
- Have 6 years of relevant experience in Business-to-Business (B2B) sales and/or working with independent retailers.
- Have a bachelors degree in commerce/business (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
