Job Summary

About the role

As a Disability Support Worker you will be providing person-centred support to clients living with disability. Provide one-on-one support to individuals with disabilities in their homes or the community with travel between clients and working short split shifts required.

Shifts fall between Monday to Sunday primarily between 7am to 6pm. Ability to work flexibly is required. Occasional sleepover availability required.

Responsibilities

  • Support clients between Taree and Forster
  • High Intensity Daily Personal Activities (HIDPA) support
  • Confidently support clients requiring behaviour supports
  • Medication personal care and mobility assistance
  • Domestic assistance and meal preparation
  • Foster client choice expression and daily engagementwith the ability to think outside of the box
  • Community access and transportation
  • Build and maintain supportive relationships with clients and their families
  • Ability to work flexibly on a 24/7 roster

Skills & Experience

  • Demonstrated resilience and ability to maintain a positive attitude
  • Unrestricted New South Wales drivers licence and access to a reliable vehicle
  • A current First Aid Certificate which includes the course HLTAID003 or HLTAID011

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check NDIS and Working with Children.
