Product Owner Transaction Reporting

Financial Markets (FM) is the Banks gateway to the professional markets around the world. Our primary function is to service the needs of INGs clients with products services and guidance. FM aims to be a significant player in our market leader and challenger markets with an additionalpresence in all the major international markets and specialist expertise in selected emerging markets and products.

The Transaction Reporting Enhancement Program (TREP) is a strategic program within FM. Program goal is to redefine and optimise the way that ING reports transactions for multiple regulations such as MiFIR EMIR SFTR MMSR and others. The program is in Execution phase and is expected to run until end-2028.

Your role

Financial Markets Operations (FM COO) Financial Markets is the operational organisation that supports all FM post-trade deal execution services; deal administration.

• Centralised processing of FX/rates/MM/credit & fixed income on our BOTS/Calypso platform teams in Amsterdam & Manila
• Centralised processing of equities derivatives commodity derivatives and listed clearing on our Sophis platform in Brussels & Manila
• Centralised processing of equity brokerage and securities on our GLOSS platform in London & India supported by our BPO partner Accenture Post Trade Platform
• FM post trade has number of full service local securities platforms
• Collateral management Transaction reporting Reconciliation services and Issuer Services supporting our capital markets business

We are looking for an ambitious and pragmatic team player to strengthen our team of Product Owners in Transaction Reporting.

As a Product Owner (PO):

• You will manage the Galaxy Change squad in the Transaction reporting family
• You will be a member of TREPs Programme Management Team
• You will manage squad team members on a day-to-day basis
• You will be responsible for managing and prioritizing the backlog
• You will report hierarchically to the Head of FM/COO/Change and functionally to the Product Area Lead for Competitive Services
• You will combine market and system knowledge product management and business expertise to take a leading role in successfully delivering change initiatives.

Your key responsibilities

• Establishes and maintains strong (sustainable) relationships with key stakeholders focused on a clear understanding of their challenges and opportunities. Also to identify business opportunities to drive revenue and improve product offerings;
• Manage the backlog for your squad in line with priorities set by relevant stakeholders
• Participate in the Transaction Reporting Enhancement Program (TREP) with responsibility on delivery of key milestones
• Works independently and ensures that implications of decisions are thought through and get addressed;
• Be able to have a good end-to-end vision and manage complexity;
• Keep track of and analyze market and competition developments;
• Leads guides and inspires others in specific areas and manages the preparations and commitments regarding deliverables;
• Creates an environment of open dialogue that encourages expertise development through collaboration and idea-sharing in which colleagues take responsibility help each other to be successful and remain a step ahead;
• Trains and coaches involved parties ensuring understanding adoption and proper implementation of proposed solution(s);
• Accumulates and collects knowledge keeps it up to date and makes it accessible for re-use. Takes initiatives for sharing knowledge;
• In case of an existing product/market also takes care of the further development of a product by initiating new Epics Features and Stories.

As Product Owner Transaction Reporting you will also need:

• Completed a bachelors degree;
• 10 years background in Financial Markets and/or Treasury;
• Content experience with Regulatory Transaction Reporting is a plus;
• Experience in Risk Management is a plus;;
• Experience with market solutions for Transaction Reporting is a plus;
• Experience with working in Agile/Scrum is a plus;
• You have a problem-solving mentality;
• Good communication skills (in English) communication and presentation skills (telling selling) across different skill and seniority levels;
• You are flexible and you easily adapt to a changing environment;
