Job Duties:

Responsible for the tracking and management ofBGCCVIs facilities fleet and technology assets including preventativemaintenance programs fleet insurance and major repairs using a projectmanagement approach.

Monitors and carries out preventativemaintenance procedures and schedules for buildings equipment and grounds incoordination with the Leadership Executive Assistant.

Performs basic maintenance and repairs toagency program locations/vehicles.

Works with the Leadership Executive Assistantto coordinate the ordering checking and receiving of cleaning and maintenancesupplies for effective operations of all BGCCVI locations.

Manages and assigns work to externalmaintenance providers and contractors as required in accordance with organizationalpriorities.

Support administration in the trackingbudgeting and accounting of all capital/maintenance tasks and operations.

Work with lessees of BGCCVIs owned propertiesto support their needs whilst maximizing value to the organization through aproactive facilities management program.

Provides clear and concise communication inall aspects of the role within the organization and to external serviceproviders funders etc.

Maintains monthly and annual reports in thearea of asset management for review by the Leadership Team.

As part of facilities management ensure snowand ice removal is undertaken and where necessary ensure locations have aproactive snow removal and ice safety program in place.

As an integral member of Joint OperationalHealth and Safety conduct regular site inspections and safety evaluationsdocumenting findings and corrective actions.

Oversee bi-annual internal inspections ofBGCCVI program and administrative locations.

Participate in Joint Health and SafetyCommittee (JOHSC) monthly meetings and follow up on action items.

Ensure a safe working environment for allpersonnel and third parties.

Additional operations and maintenance duties asassigned.

Qualifications

Successfulcompletion of a certificate/diploma in administration facility management orrelated field.

2 years of experience in a facilitytransportation asset management role.

Experience in non-profit sector would be anasset

Working knowledge of Occupational Health andSafety Standards including WorkSafeBC; Community Care Licensing; CARF or willingnessto learn

Excellent project management skills

Excellent organizational and communication skills

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to meet deadlines

Strong customer service focus

Decision making problem analysis andproblem-solving skills

Knowledge and use of Microsoft Office

Working conditions

The Facilities& OHS Assistant operates in a shared office environment and is required tobe on site. The Facilities & Assistant will be required to travel formeetings events or site visits as part of their role.
