Job Summary
Machine Operator (Machine Shop)
Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor various machine tools including lathes milling machines drilling machines and grinders.
- Perform machine setup alignment and calibration prior to production runs.
- Interpret engineering drawings blueprints and technical instructions accurately.
- Machine parts and components to precise dimensional tolerances as per specifications.
- Conduct quality inspections on finished products using measuring instruments (e.g. vernier calipers micrometers).
- Carry out routine maintenance cleaning and preventive checks on equipment.
- Identify and report mechanical issues or malfunctions to supervisors on time.
Requirements
Requirements:
- Education: ITI or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Production Engineering.
- Experience: Minimum 25 years of hands-on experience as a Machine Operator in a machine shop or industrial setting.
- Gulf experience is preferred.
- Proven experience operating manual or CNC-controlled machining equipment.
- Proficient in reading mechanical drawings and using precision measuring tools.
- Strong technical understanding of machining processes and shop floor tools.
- Basic English proficiency; Arabic language skills are an advantage.
