Eligibility:

This posting is only open to Permanent Teachers and Probationary Teacher currently employed by the Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board and External Applicants.

Salary Range:

Paid based on the salary grid of the Collective Agreement with OECTA according to QECO rating and years of experience.

  • Regiopolis-Notre Dame Catholic Secondary School/St. Lawrence College
0.5FTE Student Services Teacher School Within A College (SWAC)

(Semester 2)

Commencing January 30 2026

NOTES: This SWAC position is currently assigned to St. Lawrence College Kingston while on RND staffing. Pending continued funding of the program the teacher will have the option to continue in this assignment or return to their original school subject to the identification of surplus within two (2) years.

ALCDSB is seeking a qualified secondary contract teacher for the SWAC program. The SWAC teacher will be responsible for programming for students to achieve their secondary school credits through a variety of opportunities including traditional courses blended and online learning COOP Credit Recovery and workshops. The educator will create a collaborative learning community on the college campus where students experience the college environment and complete their final credits required for graduation.

Qualifications:

  • Certificate of Qualification from the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT)
  • Intermediate/Senior Qualifications
  • Special Education Part 1
  • Minimum of 5 years classroom teaching experience
  • Priority will be given to candidates who have demonstrated experience in one or more of the following roles and curricular disciplines:
  • Guidance Student Success Cooperative Education Special Education (SERT) Alternative Education
  • Teaching Senior College Level English Math Sciences (Common prerequisites for college programs)
  • Experience in developing instructional proficiency in a wide range of curriculum disciplines
