Supply Chain Director EMEA Central Region

About the role
The EMEA Central Region Supply Chain Director leads the Supply Chain function within the Central Region a region that covers 8 countries. With the goal of achieving target service levels at optimum cost the role supports the development of Supply Chain processes ways of working and sponsors and leads the execution of improvement. As the successful candidate you will take ownership of projects including Group priorities such as the Supply Chain Transformational activity which should be embedded into the local improvement plans.
You will coordinate facilitate and influence the Sub-Regional Management team and will be expected to promote cross-functional collaboration providing the interfaces between Cluster Region Division and Group Supply Chain. You will be the key driver and sponsor of change and improvement programmes that deliver to the corporate plan as well as the group supply chain transformation programme ensuring they are embedded in the sub-regional improvement plan.
As the Supply Chain Director you will oversee performance of the Central Region Supply Chain owning the scheduling process and principles that underpin the supply strategics (MTO/MTS). You will demonstrate experience in optimising distribution and warehouse networks as well as the scale and location of the manufacturing network. You will of course work closely with procurement on tendering as well as finance and sales teams to create robust supply chain budgeting and forecasting assumptions.
Key Accountabilities:
Full end to end responsibility of the supply chain function within the Sub-Regional Business Unit
Utilise Continuous improvement methodologies to lead and sponsor change and improvement programmes to deliver the Corporate Plan and Group Supply Chain Transformation
Optimise the distribution processes and warehouse network working in collaboration with external 3PLs partners and the Clusters.
Responsible for providing functional leadership for logistics activities in the Clusters and leading operational logistics process improvement in pursuit of excellent customer service and supply chain effectiveness.
Manage invoice reconciliation ensuring compliance to Logistics rate cards and SLAs
Optimise scale and location of the manufacturing network and supply from the network
Own the IBP or S&OP and S&OE process within the Sub-Region facilitating design deployment and embedding.
Within the Sub-Regional planning processes ensure appropriate decisions are taken matching current and future capacity and capability to demand
Lead Sub-Regional Paper demand planning and support Paper Sourcing to optimise Make-Buy-Sell decisions on Paper
Ensure existing systems landscape is maximised and propose targeted investments in future capabilities to the Group SC Systems team
Leadership and collaboration
Coordinate and facilitate communication and collaboration with Sub-Region Region Division and Group to ensure alignment with Corporate Plan
As a key Sub-Regional Operation Leadership role support the Management team in holding the Clusters to account for their Supply Chain performance
Accountable for personal Health & Safety and that of their department. Operating in line with company procedures raising unsafe acts immediately with individual(s) concerned and reporting of incidents
About you
Experience of working in a supply-chain leadership role with experience of leading a broad team delivering multiple programmes in a matrix organisation
Experience of driving forward strategic Supply Chain change
Experience of developing an immature Supply Chain team to be able to delegate effectively
Proven experience of mapping and improving processes capacity planning
Data driven with strong analytical skills and a thorough understanding of evaluating Supply Chain KPIs and other metrics to drive performance improvement.
Experience working within a fast-paced Supply chain Leadership position holding full responsibility of the end-to-end processes.
Considerable demonstrated experience in supply chain leadership role
Detailed knowledge of logistics operations
Strong ability to manage and influence stakeholders
Good understanding of planning and scheduling inventory management end to end supply chain thinking.
Change management skills and experience on major change or transformation projects
Detailed understanding and experience of managing complex supply chains
Degree qualified in a Scientific or Engineering discipline
Preferred requirements:
An understanding of corrugator operations printing and die cutting
