About the Role
We are seeking a Lab Systems Implementation & Process Engineering Lead to drive the design configuration and rollout of Digital Lab technologies including LIMS and connected laboratory hardware. This role focuses on system implementation process optimization and technical integration ensuring the Digital Lab has a robust data backbone across IoT devices sensors and lab software platforms.

The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience implementing and configuring laboratory informatics systems (e.g. LIMS) integrating lab equipment and optimizing R&D wet lab workflows using Lean Six Sigma or similar methodologies. Unlike a traditional training role this position requires a builder mindset someone who has constructed and engineered solutions not just supported user adoption.

What Youll Be Doing

  • Lead the configuration and implementation of LIMS and laboratory digital systems including integration of hardware IoT devices sensors and internal data platforms.
  • Define and design laboratory workflow processes (Discovery Development) using Lean Six Sigma or equivalent methodologies.
  • Partner with Digital Lab architects to build the data backbone that connects lab systems ensuring alignment with FAIR data principles.
  • Collaborate with scientists engineers and software teams to translate lab requirements into technical system designs.
  • Lead testing validation and iterative improvement of lab workflows.
  • Oversee hypercare phase including technical troubleshooting ticket triaging and coordination between product engineering and laboratory end users.
  • Contribute to Agile delivery practices as a technical process leader.
  • Support change initiatives related to the implementation of lab technologies.


What Were Looking For

  • Hands-on experience implementing and configuring LIMS or similar laboratory informatics systems.
  • Experience integrating laboratory hardware and scientific instruments with digital systems.
  • Demonstrated capability in process engineering preferably in R&D wet lab environments.
  • Experience designing and mapping end-to-end scientific workflows.
  • Background in systems architecture or digital lab build/integration.
  • Lean Six Sigma process improvement or scientific operations optimization expertise.
  • Bachelors degree or higher in a scientific engineering or technical discipline (advanced degree preferred).
  • Experience in the digital transformation of laboratory environments.
  • Strong project coordination skills preferably in global programs.
  • Ability to work on-site in either Tucson AZ or Pleasanton CA.
  • Certifications in Lean Six Sigma PMP Scrum Master or Change Management are a plus.
