Job Summary

Job Title: Long Term Substitute -Science	Location:Westerly High School
Class Title:Full Time - Temporary	Effective Date:Immediately
Salary Range: $150/day	Hours per week:34.5

General Statement:Provide support to student achievement in the educational process within the area of Science.

Responsibilities:

Provides rigorous and relevant instruction on pre-approved hands-on curriculum in the content area.
Integrates soft-skill instruction into competency-based content area activities.
Provides evidence of project-based learning.
Maintains a strong instructional focus utilizing the elements of effective instruction.
Communicates a high level of expectation to students.
Communicates clear learning goals and expectations to students.
Adapts instruction to meet the needs of all students.
Sequences content appropriately.
Embeds schools student learning objectives in instruction.
Posts course syllabus and appropriate materials on class website.
Maintains and posts accurate and up to date grades.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education:
- Bachelors Degree required.
Certification & Licensing:
- Must meet the current RI Department of Education requirements and or certifications.

Authorized to work in the USA
Current national background check without disqualifying results at time of hire.
