Join the MBD team as a Preflight Technician and help ensure that every packaging design file is flawlessly prepared technically accurate and ready for production delivering the highest quality service to our clients.

The role is full-time (40 hours) Mon Fri 9 - 5.30pm reporting to the Production Manager and is open to remote working in the US (EST) only.

The pay range for this role is $55000 to $75000 dependent on experience.

We are seeking a detail-oriented Preflight Technician with experience in digital packaging production.

The Preflight Technician will ensure that every file is thoroughly checked corrected and prepared for production.

What youll do:

• Verify incoming digital design files for technical issues such as missing fonts incorrect color modes (CMYK vs RGB) low resolution images or improper bleed/trim settings.
• Ensure packaging artwork meets compliance checks such as printer specifications and brand guidelines.
• Correct or flag problems like transparency issues overprinting errors or incorrect dielines.
• Communicate with project managers and other members of the production team to resolve issues quickly.
• Prepare digital files to ensure they align with the printing process being used (offset flexographic etc.)

What youll bring:

• Extensive experience with digital artwork in a packaging context preferably in a fast-paced studio.
• An understanding of print processes for packaging (flexographic lithographic and gravure).
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Acrobat Illustrator and Photoshop).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable working in a macOS environment and adept at using collaborative tools (Outlook Teams)
• Highly organized and accountable able to manage multiple concurrent deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Proactive in identifying issues and resourceful in resolving them.
