Job Purpose: Two to three sentences describing the overall purpose of the job |
Program energy management equipment to operate efficiently for maximum operational efficiency. |
Job Responsibilities: Maximum of ten responsibilities in order of percentage of time spent on functions from longest to shortest; do not list anything that doesnot represent at least 10% of the jobs time. Please include supervisory responsibilities. |
1. | Program and monitor energy management equipment related to the Central Energy Plant to ensure operational efficiency and to prevent peakdemand charges and penalties. |
2. | Maintain EMS equipment (controls for HVAC). |
3. | Lead and train the HVAC team in the operation of energy management equipment and calibration of equipment. |
4. | Monitor and troubleshoot all chillers cooling towers pressure vessels boiler permits and boiler controls. |
5. | Monitor and troubleshoot HVAC equipment including air handlers motors vsds and controls. |
6. | Perform water chemical tests and utility meter readings on a daily basis. Log readings and make appropriate adjustments to the energymanagement system as required. |
7. | Monitor electrical demand usage of refrigerant all well pumps and the filtration systems. |
8. | Perform safety checks on related equipment as required. |
9. | Comply with OSHA regulations Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and safety precautions. |
10. | Perform other duties as assigned. |
Job Qualifications: Describe the minimum qualifications needed to complete the job responsibilities. |
Education | High school diploma or equivalent in addition to two years trade school or equivalent preferred. |
Experience | Minimum of two years journey experience in programming and servicing direct digital control energy management systems required. Broadknowledge base including energy management electronics and HVAC required. |
Licenses/Certifications | Universal refrigerant certification required within first 60 days of employment. Journey certification preferred. Valid Drivers Licenseand a satisfactory driving record may be required. Material Handling Equipment certification as required (may vary by property) |
