Senior Associate IT Engineer Network CTBC

Main tasks:

• Under general supervision this position will support maintain and configure Global communications infrastructure. 
• Manage and help implement LAN/WLAN architecture.
• Schedules and performs installations and upgrades by established policies and procedures.
• Conduct MAC (moves adds and changes) as requested.
• Coordinating and performing telecommunications setup and add/moves/changes in a VoIP environment. This includes local and remote changes for VoIP programming (Cisco) and SIP Trucking.
• Provides increased levels of performance utilizing advanced features such as QOS VLANs OSPF BGP HSRP etc.
• This position will support our plants/offices globally. Travel to these plants may be required
• Installs configures monitors and maintains network firewalls modifying existing rule bases according to established policies.
• Conduct MAC (moves adds and changes) as requested
• Creates on-site documentation for local IT to be able to better support devices at their locations.
• Monitor and control network performance in the areas of response throughput and availability.
• Plan maintenance and release upgrades on a timely basis.
• Research specific products as necessary participating in tool and vendor evaluations.
• Work with Principle Engineer Network to develop/enhance procedures for LAN/WLAN/Firewall administration (e.g. security reliability)
• Conduct MAC (moves adds and changes) as requested.
• Creates on-site documentation for local IT to be able to better support devices at their locations.
• Work with Principle Engineer Network to develop/enhance procedures for LAN/PLC/Firewall administration (e.g. security reliability)

Qualifications :

We are looking for:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems Engineering or equivalent work experience.
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or equivalent experience.
• 3 - 7 years of related experience maintaining large enterprise infrastructure/network environments performing hardware and software network engineering and implementing LANs WLANs
• Switching/Routing experience.
• Extensive experience working in large-scale data center/Global LAN environments.
• Knowledge and experience dealing with data providers.
• Experience in effectively communicating with a broad base of end users and multiple management layers.
• A thorough knowledge of LAN and WLAN architectures and routing protocols and a thorough working knowledge of Internet protocols and services (TCP/IP WWW FTP TELNET SSH SNMP etc.)
• Working knowledge of TACACS/RADIUS.
• Basic knowledge of Cisco ISEs.
• Experience with implementation and administration of network devices such as routers switches and firewalls preferably Cisco-based.
• Excellent ability to create detailed physical and logical network diagrams and design documents. Advanced knowledge of Visio.
• Knowledge and hands-on experience with a full range of layer 1-7 technologies and protocols (advanced layer2; redundancy protocols advanced OSPF BGP and other routing protocols advanced layer4-7 load-balancing security content management and other technologies).
• Should be familiar with Telco tools such as toners punch-down tools and others. 
• Project Management experience a plus.
