Job Summary

The salary for this role is 27202 . Onsite working is expected for at least 3 days a week however we actively support requests for flexible working. 

This role can be based at any of the following sites;  Culham Oxfordshire 

This role requires employees to complete an online Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) including The Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) checks for criminal convictions and possibly a search of open source data. 

The Role

As Department Administrator you will play a pivotal role in providing efficient and professional administrative support to senior managers and to staff in Plasma Science and Fusion Operations division as part of a small team of administrators.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Arranging meetings preparing agendas and minutes
  • Organising UK and international travel and conference registration
  • Purchasing
  • Making of arrangements for new starters visiting scientists and students liaising with other staff to ensure that computer accounts are set up office accommodation is provided site passes are issued etc.

Other reasonable administrative support for the staff of the division


Qualifications :

Essential Requirements:

  • Previous administrative experience and/or qualification
  • Good IT skills and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
  • Discreet and professional approach
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
