We are looking for a Financial Controller to join our Finnish financial accounting team.
The role will be primarily responsible for the financial accounting duties of our Swedish Danish and Norwegian entities along with collaborating with and assisting the Finnish team managing the four juridical entities in Finland.
This position is based in our headquarters in Hyvinkää Finland and we offer flexible hybrid working opportunities.
Your key responsibilities
Financial reporting across the multiple countries:
- Preparation of annual financial statements
- Corporate income tax calculations and returns
- VAT reporting
- Ensuring compliance with internal controls
- Preparation and filing of Intrastat reporting
- Finance lead for both internal and external audits
- Statistical reporting
- Co-ordination of board meetings including minutes
- Review of annual insurances and liaising with relevant insurance brokers
- Transfer Price documentation
- Driving ongoing and future improvement projects to enhance processes quality and efficiency
Qualifications :
What you should bring:
- Bachelors or masters degree in accounting finance or related field
- At least five years of experience in financial accounting roles
- Knowledge of VAT matters within an international environment
- Fluent in using Office software particularly Excel
- High level of accuracy attention to detail and the ability to manage tasks with deadlines
- Excellent communication skills
- Flexibility during busy reporting periods
- Initiative accountability and a service-oriented attitude
- Proficiency in the English and Finnish languages
- A positive attitude and excellent teamwork skills
- Willingness to travel to the multiple countries addressed above
Its considered an asset if you have:
- Experience in financial accounting for companies based in Sweden Denmark or Norway
- Experience with SAP and OneStream
- Fluency in Swedish/Norwegian/Danish languages
- Familiarity with IFRS
- Work experience in a large international corporation
