About Our Client

Our client isa leading provider of industrial carbon steel pipe fittings and flanges serving different industries. They are seeking an Outside Sales Representative who will be responsible for establishing and maintaining personal connections with customers within your designated sales territory. This involves identifying customer needs and concerns developing new accounts and ensuring customer satisfaction within established guidelines.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for candidates with a background in sales who are looking to expand their expertise in account development and customer management. The position involves hands-on engagement with clients travel within a designated territory and direct contribution to sales growth and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

As the Outside Sales Representative you will develop and maintain relationships with customers while identifying new business opportunities.

  • Cultivate and sustain relationships with existing and prospective customers.
  • Conduct regular customer visits and follow-ups both on-site and remotely.
  • Drive quote follow-up activities within the region.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for acquiring new customers.
  • Collaborate in the preparation of sales budgets.
  • Stay informed about major projects and their potential impact on customers.
  • Gather market insights and share them with the team.
  • Prepare thorough call reports for review with the Regional Sales Manager.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Post-secondary degree/diploma in Business Marketing or related field and/or 2-5 years of proven experience in outside and inside sales.
  • Knowledge of pipes flanges valves fittings and/or the energy industry.
  • Experience in mining industrial oil field project supply or fabrication industries.
  • Valid Class 5 Drivers License and Clean Drivers Abstract.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment medical evaluation and drug test.
  • Professional demeanour and appearance.
  • Excellent communication organizational and technical skills.
  • Proficiency in report writing and documentation.
  • Ability to establish and maintain a strong working relationship.

Working Conditions

  • Frequent travel within the assigned territory often involving several hours of driving per day.
  • Exposure to variable weather conditions.
  • Ability to conduct presentations and meetings.
