Duration: 3 months (with strong likelihood of extension to at least 6 months)
We are currently seeking an experienced and compassionate Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist to join a multidisciplinary Child Development Centre team in Llandudno. This fixed-term role provides maternity leave cover and is delivered fully face-to-face within a highly supportive MDT environment.
You will work with children presenting with a range of communication needs and dysphagia contributing your clinical expertise to assessments interventions and collaborative planning. This opportunity is ideal for a Band 6 or Band 7 clinician looking to further develop specialist paediatric skills in a well-established service.
In this role you will:
Support the assessment diagnosis and management of children with Speech Language and Communication Needs (SLCN) and dysphagia within the Child Development Centre.
Deliver evidence-based therapy plans tailored to each childs developmental needs.
Work collaboratively within an experienced multidisciplinary team.
Maintain accurate professional clinical records in line with service and HCPC standards.
Contribute to MDT meetings case discussions and reviews to support integrated care planning.
To be considered for this role you must have:
A recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy (or equivalent).
HCPC registration and eligibility for RCSLT membership.
Clinical experience within paediatrics including communication and dysphagia.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in an MDT setting.
A reflective proactive approach to service delivery and professional growth.
