The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Design develop and optimize manufacturing tools jigs fixtures and molds.
• Perform preventative maintenance repair and modification of existing production tooling.
• Diagnose and resolve tooling-related issues on the production floor to minimize downtime.
• Manage the specification procurement and validation of new tooling and equipment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design production quality) on tooling requirements and improvements.
• Implement and maintain tooling documentation standards and safety protocols.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering Manufacturing Engineering or a related technical field.
• 3-5 years of experience in tooling design development or maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g. SolidWorks AutoCAD NX) for tool design and analysis.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes such as injection molding stamping machining or die casting.
• Knowledge of tool materials heat treatment processes and surface finishing techniques.
• Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and tolerance stack-up analysis.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with mold flow or FEA simulation software.
• Proficiency in advanced CAM programming.
• Familiarity with additive manufacturing processes for tooling applications.
• Certification in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
