Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design development and improvement of manufacturing tools dies jigs and fixtures.
• Provide technical expertise and support for tooling issues troubleshooting problems and implementing corrective actions.
• Oversee the maintenance repair and optimization of existing tooling to ensure peak performance and longevity.
• Collaborate with design production and quality teams to ensure tooling meets product specifications and manufacturing requirements.
• Evaluate and select appropriate materials manufacturing processes and coatings for tooling applications.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives for tooling design fabrication and usage.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation including tooling specifications drawings and maintenance procedures.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering Manufacturing Engineering or a related technical field
• 3-5 years of experience in tooling design manufacturing or maintenance within a production environment
• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g. SolidWorks AutoCAD CATIA)
• Strong understanding of machining processes injection molding stamping or other relevant manufacturing techniques
• Expertise in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and Design for Manufacturability (DFM)
• Proven ability to troubleshoot tooling issues perform root cause analysis and implement effective solutions

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher certification.
• Experience with Additive Manufacturing (3D printing) for tooling applications.
• Proficiency in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) for tooling design validation.
• Project management certification (e.g. PMP).
