Key Responsibilities

• Design develop and modify manufacturing tooling jigs and fixtures.
• Oversee the maintenance repair and refurbishment of production tooling assets.
• Troubleshoot and resolve tooling-related issues to optimize production efficiency and product quality.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to implement tooling improvements and cost reductions.
• Manage external tooling suppliers ensuring quality cost-effectiveness and on-time delivery.
• Support new product introduction (NPI) by designing and validating new tools and processes.
• Maintain accurate documentation for tooling specifications drawings and maintenance records.

Recommended Qualifications

• Expertise in tool design principles for molds dies jigs and fixtures.
• Proficiency with CAD/CAM software (e.g. SolidWorks AutoCAD Mastercam).
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g. injection molding stamping CNC machining).
• Knowledge of various tooling materials heat treatments and surface finishes.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and optimize tooling performance and lifespan.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with FEA (Finite Element Analysis) or mold flow simulation software.
• Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification/experience.
• Proficiency in CAM software for tool path generation.
• Experience with additive manufacturing (3D printing) for tooling components or prototypes.
