Key Responsibilities

• Design develop and implement new tooling solutions for manufacturing processes.
• Perform maintenance repair and modification of existing production tools dies and fixtures.
• Troubleshoot tooling-related issues during production and implement effective corrective actions.
• Optimize tooling performance longevity and efficiency through continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with production design and quality teams to ensure tooling meets product specifications.
• Specify procure and manage inventory of tooling materials components and spare parts.
• Ensure all tooling complies with safety standards and quality control procedures.

Recommended Qualifications

• Expertise in the design development and optimization of manufacturing tools (e.g. molds dies jigs fixtures).
• Proficiency with CAD/CAM software (e.g. SolidWorks AutoCAD CATIA) for tooling design and analysis.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes such as injection molding stamping machining or casting.
• Knowledge of various tooling materials heat treatments and surface finishes.
• Experience with tool troubleshooting root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with Additive Manufacturing (3D Printing) for tooling applications.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
• Proficiency in FEA (Finite Element Analysis) or mold flow simulation software.
• Project Management experience particularly with tooling development projects.
