Key Responsibilities

• Design develop and modify tooling dies jigs and fixtures for manufacturing processes.
• Optimize existing tooling for improved performance efficiency and longevity.
• Diagnose and resolve complex tooling issues implementing root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with production design and quality teams to define tooling requirements and integrate solutions.
• Manage tooling projects including budgeting scheduling and supplier coordination from concept to implementation.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering Manufacturing Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 3-5 years of experience in tooling design development or maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks AutoCAD CATIA) for tooling design and drafting.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes such as injection molding stamping or CNC machining and their tooling requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot diagnose and implement solutions for tooling-related issues.
• Knowledge of tooling materials heat treatment processes and surface finishes.

Bonus Qualifications

• Proficiency in advanced CAD/CAM software for simulation and analysis.
• Experience applying Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles to tooling optimization.
• Project management experience for complex tooling development and implementation.
