Key Responsibilities

• Design fabricate and repair precision tools dies jigs and fixtures.
• Operate and maintain a variety of manual and CNC machine tools including lathes mills grinders and EDMs.
• Interpret complex blueprints technical drawings and specifications to determine machining operations.
• Perform precise measurements using various inspection tools (e.g. micrometers calipers gauges) to ensure quality.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose tooling problems implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to develop new tools and optimize existing ones for manufacturing processes.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Tool Maker specializing in the fabrication repair and maintenance of dies jigs fixtures and gauges.
• Proficiency in operating a variety of manual and CNC machine shop equipment (e.g. lathes mills grinders EDMs).
• Strong ability to read and interpret complex blueprints technical drawings and specifications including GD&T.
• Expertise in precision measurement using calipers micrometers height gauges and other inspection tools to ensure tight tolerances.
• Solid understanding of metallurgy heat treatment processes and various tooling materials.

Bonus Qualifications

• Proficiency with CAD/CAM software (e.g. SolidWorks Mastercam)
• Experience operating and/or programming CNC machinery (mills lathes EDM)
• TIG/MIG welding experience for tool repair and modification
• Familiarity with advanced metrology equipment (e.g. CMM optical comparator)
• Knowledge of various material properties and heat treatment processes
