Key Responsibilities

• Perform machine setup and changeovers according to production schedules and specifications.
• Install adjust and calibrate tooling fixtures and equipment.
• Conduct first-piece inspections and obtain quality approval before production runs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve setup-related issues to ensure optimal machine performance.
• Optimize machine parameters and processes to improve efficiency and reduce cycle times.
• Document setup procedures parameters and tooling specifications accurately.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams on process improvements and new product introductions.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience in machine setup changeover and adjustment within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical documents such as blueprints schematics and work instructions.
• Skilled in the use of hand tools power tools and precision measuring instruments (e.g. calipers micrometers).
• Familiarity with manufacturing safety standards quality control procedures and preventative maintenance practices.

Bonus Qualifications

• Familiarity with PLC programming or HMI interfaces.
• Experience with manual machining (lathe mill) for fixture creation or modification.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies.
• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software for tooling and fixture design.
