Salary Range: $44000 - $67000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Newaygo seeking Quality Technicians who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

Perform first article in-process and final inspections of manufactured products and components.
Document inspection results non-conformances and corrective actions accurately.
Utilize precision measuring equipment (e.g. calipers micrometers gauges) to verify product specifications.
Assist in the investigation of root causes for quality defects and support problem-solving initiatives.
Support the calibration program for inspection measurement and test equipment.
Collaborate with production teams to resolve quality issues and ensure compliance with standards.
Maintain and update quality records procedures and work instructions.

Recommended Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED; Associate's degree in a technical field preferred.
1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing quality control or inspection role.
Proficiency in using precision measurement tools (e.g. calipers micrometers gauges) and interpreting blueprints.
Basic understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) and statistical process control (SPC).
Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and ISO 9001 standards.
Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Excel for data entry and analysis.

Bonus Qualifications

Experience with calibration of measurement equipment.
Proficiency with Statistical Process Control (SPC) software (e.g. Minitab).
Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt or Green Belt certification.
Familiarity with CMM operation or programming.
