Key Responsibilities

Perform detailed inspections of incoming materials in-process components and finished products against specifications.
Utilize precision measuring instruments (calipers micrometers gauges CMM) to verify product dimensions and tolerances.
Document inspection results accurately create inspection reports and maintain comprehensive quality records.
Identify and report non-conforming materials or products initiating appropriate containment and disposition procedures.
Assist in the investigation of quality issues root cause analysis and the implementation of corrective actions.
Conduct calibration and maintenance checks on inspection and test equipment to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Support production teams by providing guidance on quality standards and resolving immediate quality concerns.

Recommended Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; Associate's degree in a technical field preferred.
1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing quality control or assurance role.
Proficiency in using precision measurement tools (e.g. calipers micrometers optical comparators gauges).
Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints schematics and technical specifications.
Basic understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and quality management systems (e.g. ISO 9001).
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills for identifying and resolving quality issues.

Bonus Qualifications

Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification or equivalent continuous improvement experience.
Proficiency with statistical software (e.g. Minitab JMP) for data analysis.
Internal auditing experience or training (e.g. ISO 9001).
Experience with calibration and maintenance of measurement equipment.
