The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Newaygo seeking Quality Engineers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement quality control plans and inspection procedures.
• Conduct root cause analysis for non-conformances and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Perform internal and external quality audits to ensure compliance with quality standards (e.g. ISO 9001).
• Utilize statistical process control (SPC) and other quality tools for process monitoring and improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support new product introduction (NPI) through APQP activities and developing quality documentation.
• Manage and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) and associated documentation.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g. Mechanical Industrial Manufacturing) or a related technical field
• 3-5 years of experience in quality engineering within a manufacturing environment
• Proficiency in core quality tools and methodologies (e.g. FMEA SPC MSA Root Cause Analysis 8D)
• Strong understanding and practical application of ISO 9001 or industry-specific quality management systems (e.g. IATF 16949 AS9100)
• Demonstrated ability to analyze data identify trends and drive continuous improvement initiatives

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification
• Advanced proficiency with statistical software (e.g. Minitab JMP) for complex data analysis.
• Experience with automated inspection equipment programming (e.g. CMM vision systems).
• Project management experience particularly leading cross-functional improvement initiatives.
