The Quality Assurance Engineering Associate reporting to the Quality Manager of Distribution & Logistics is responsible for supporting the Mattel quality and compliance standards throughout the manufacturing/operations processes at Mattel in order to ensure that the customers expectations are met and only pristine compliant active products go back into inventory.
What Your Impact Will Be:
- Perform inspections and audit internal production/processes within established procedures and guidelines to determine acceptability of product based on knowledge of companys quality standards.
- Document all inspection results in proper computer locations in a timely and accurate manner (EQMS- Enterprise Quality Management System).
- Track and follow up with supervisor on 100% inspection progress and workload.
- Assist in processing quality related customer returns as needed
- Cross-train to assist in other departments as needed.
- Maintain QC sample inventory and distribute QC samples to the DCs.
- Communicate and document non-compliance findings appropriately and within a set timeline.
- Perform minor rework and/or repackaging of rejected products.
- Communicate quality findings to the various Floor Supervisors and summarize in a written report.

- Demonstrated ability to work as a team player
- Ability to be flexible and work overtime to meet the needs of the business.
- Lift 30 lbs. on a frequent basis and up to 50 lbs. on occasion.
- Stand and/or walk on concrete floors 8-10 hours a day. Able to stand / walk for extended periods of time
- Perform tasks which include continuously pulling pushing grasping bending and reaching.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish not required but beneficial
