Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement strategic sourcing initiatives for raw materials and components.
Negotiate contracts pricing and terms with suppliers to achieve cost savings and favorable conditions.
Manage supplier relationships including performance evaluation and conflict resolution.
Ensure timely procurement of materials to support production schedules and minimize disruptions.
Identify and mitigate supply chain risks such as material shortages or price fluctuations.
Implement inventory control strategies to optimize stock levels and reduce holding costs.
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to define material specifications and quality standards.

Recommended Qualifications

5 years of progressive experience in purchasing or supply chain management within a manufacturing environment.
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management Business Administration or a related field; CPSM certification preferred.
Proven expertise in negotiation vendor management and contract administration for manufacturing components and services.
Strong analytical skills with a track record of achieving cost savings and supply chain optimization.
Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g. SAP Oracle) and procurement software.
Excellent leadership communication and interpersonal skills for managing teams and supplier relationships.

Bonus Qualifications

Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
Experience with international sourcing import/export regulations and global logistics.
Proficiency in advanced data analytics tools (e.g. Power BI Tableau) for spend analysis and supplier performance.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
Advanced experience with ERP system implementation or optimization in a manufacturing environment.
