Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement strategic purchasing plans and policies to optimize material acquisition.
Source evaluate and negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive pricing terms and quality for raw materials and components.
Manage supplier relationships and performance ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
Collaborate with production planning and engineering departments to forecast material needs and optimize inventory levels.
Identify and implement cost reduction initiatives and value engineering opportunities across the supply chain.
Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company policies industry regulations and ethical standards.
Mitigate supply chain risks through diversification and proactive supplier management.

Recommended Qualifications

5 years of progressive purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment.
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management Business Administration or a related technical field.
Proven negotiation skills and experience in strategic sourcing and supplier relationship management.
Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g. SAP Oracle) and procurement software.
Demonstrated ability to drive cost reduction initiatives and optimize inventory levels.

Bonus Qualifications

Lean Six Sigma certification or experience with continuous improvement methodologies.
Proficiency with advanced data analytics tools (e.g. Power BI Tableau) for spend analysis and supplier performance tracking.
Experience with global sourcing and international supplier management.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent experience managing complex purchasing initiatives.
