Key Responsibilities

• Perform precise measurements on manufactured parts and assemblies using various metrology equipment.
• Calibrate and maintain a wide range of measurement tools and test equipment.
• Interpret engineering drawings specifications and GD&T requirements for inspection.
• Document measurement results calibration records and non-conformance reports accurately.
• Troubleshoot and resolve measurement discrepancies or equipment malfunctions.
• Conduct first article in-process and final inspections to ensure product quality.
• Develop and optimize CMM programs for automated measurement routines.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in using a wide range of precision measurement tools (e.g. calipers micrometers CMMs optical comparators).
• Strong understanding and practical application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Ability to read and accurately interpret complex engineering blueprints schematics and technical specifications.
• Experience performing calibration verification and maintenance of measurement equipment.
• Knowledge of quality control systems and standards (e.g. ISO 9001 AS9100) relevant to manufacturing.
• Associate's degree in Metrology Quality Assurance or a related technical field or equivalent practical experience.

Bonus Qualifications

• Advanced CMM programming experience (e.g. PC-DMIS Calypso MCOSMOS).
• Proficiency with statistical analysis software (e.g. Minitab) for Measurement System Analysis (MSA) and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
• Experience with advanced or specialized metrology equipment such as laser scanners vision systems or optical comparators.
• Familiarity with CAD software for model-based inspection and fixture design.
• ASQ Certified Calibration Technician (CCT) or other relevant industry certifications.
