Key Responsibilities

• Perform precise dimensional inspections of manufactured parts and assemblies.
• Calibrate maintain and troubleshoot a wide range of metrology equipment.
• Operate and program Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) and other automated inspection systems.
• Document inspection results calibration data and non-conformances accurately.
• Analyze measurement data to identify trends and support process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards specifications and industry regulations.
• Assist in the development and improvement of measurement procedures and techniques.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in operating and calibrating precision metrology equipment (e.g. CMMs calipers micrometers).
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints schematics and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Solid understanding of measurement principles statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis.
• Experience with metrology software (e.g. PC-DMIS Calypso) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Associate's degree in a technical field (e.g. metrology mechanical engineering technology) or equivalent work experience.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CMM programming software (e.g. PC-DMIS Calypso MCOSMOS).
• ASQ Certified Calibration Technician (CCT) or Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) certification.
• Proficiency in CAD software for model interpretation and GD&T analysis.
• Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma principles or a Green Belt certification.
