The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Norton Shores seeking Manufacturing Engineers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

Develop optimize and document manufacturing processes for efficiency and quality.
Design procure and implement manufacturing tooling fixtures and equipment.
Support new product introduction (NPI) by establishing robust production methods and validating processes.
Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues implementing root cause corrective actions.
Identify and implement continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives.
Create and update manufacturing documentation including SOPs and work instructions.
Analyze production data to monitor performance and identify areas for process enhancement.

Recommended Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering Mechanical Engineering Industrial Engineering or a related field.
3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment focusing on process improvement and optimization.
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks AutoCAD) for fixture design and process layout.
Demonstrated experience with Lean Manufacturing principles Six Sigma methodologies or other continuous improvement tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills including root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.

Bonus Qualifications

Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
Experience with automation robotics or advanced manufacturing technologies
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or demonstrated project leadership
Proficiency in advanced data analysis and visualization tools (e.g. Minitab Power BI Python)
