The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Cadillac that are seeking skilled HR Generalists. Key Responsibilities

Manage full-cycle recruitment for manufacturing positions including sourcing interviewing and onboarding production staff.
Provide guidance and support on employee relations issues including conflict resolution disciplinary actions and performance management.
Ensure compliance with federal and state labor laws company policies and safety regulations specific to the manufacturing plant.
Administer HR programs such as benefits payroll support and leave management for all plant employees.
Facilitate new hire orientation and ongoing training programs emphasizing safety protocols and operational procedures.
Support plant leadership in developing and implementing HR strategies to improve employee engagement and retention.
Manage workers' compensation claims and return-to-work programs ensuring adherence to safety standards and regulations.

Recommended Qualifications

Minimum 3-5 years of HR Generalist experience preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state labor laws including OSHA compliance.
Proven ability in employee relations conflict resolution and performance management for an hourly workforce.
Experience with full-cycle recruitment and onboarding for production and skilled trades roles.
Proficiency with HRIS platforms and payroll administration.

Bonus Qualifications

Bilingual proficiency (e.g. Spanish)
Experience with unionized environments or labor relations
Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety program support
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies
