Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle recruitment for manufacturing positions including sourcing interviewing and onboarding production staff.
- Provide guidance and support on employee relations issues including conflict resolution disciplinary actions and performance management.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state labor laws company policies and safety regulations specific to the manufacturing plant.
- Administer HR programs such as benefits payroll support and leave management for all plant employees.
- Facilitate new hire orientation and ongoing training programs emphasizing safety protocols and operational procedures.
- Support plant leadership in developing and implementing HR strategies to improve employee engagement and retention.
- Manage workers' compensation claims and return-to-work programs ensuring adherence to safety standards and regulations.
Recommended Qualifications
- Minimum 3-5 years of HR Generalist experience preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state labor laws including OSHA compliance.
- Proven ability in employee relations conflict resolution and performance management for an hourly workforce.
- Experience with full-cycle recruitment and onboarding for production and skilled trades roles.
- Proficiency with HRIS platforms and payroll administration.
Bonus Qualifications
- Bilingual proficiency (e.g. Spanish)
- Experience with unionized environments or labor relations
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety program support
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies
