The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment for production skilled trades and administrative roles including sourcing interviewing and onboarding.
  • Provide guidance and support on employee relations issues conflict resolution and disciplinary actions in a factory environment.
  • Administer HR policies and procedures ensuring compliance with federal state and local labor laws including OSHA regulations.
  • Facilitate performance management processes including goal setting performance reviews and development plans for all staff.
  • Oversee benefits administration payroll support and leave management for a diverse manufacturing workforce.
  • Coordinate and deliver HR-related training programs focusing on safety compliance and professional development relevant to manufacturing operations.
  • Manage workers' compensation claims and support workplace safety initiatives.

Recommended Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of progressive HR Generalist experience specifically within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in federal and state labor laws including OSHA regulations.
  • Proven ability to manage complex employee relations issues and investigations in a diverse workforce.
  • Experience recruiting for a range of manufacturing roles including production skilled trades and technical positions.
  • Strong understanding of workplace safety principles and best practices.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Bilingual proficiency especially Spanish.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Direct experience with safety program administration or OSHA compliance in a manufacturing setting.
  • Experience with HRIS/timekeeping systems commonly used in production environments (e.g. Kronos ADP Workforce Now).
