The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment and onboarding for diverse manufacturing roles including production maintenance and engineering.
  • Provide guidance and support on employee relations issues including disciplinary actions grievances and conflict resolution within a plant environment.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal state and local employment laws as well as company policies and manufacturing-specific regulations (e.g. OSHA).
  • Administer compensation benefits and leave programs including accurate payroll processing and benefits enrollment for a shift-based workforce.
  • Partner with EHS and operations leadership to support safety initiatives and manage workers' compensation claims.
  • Facilitate performance management processes including annual reviews goal setting and performance improvement plans for plant personnel.
  • Identify training needs and coordinate development programs for manufacturing employees focusing on skills enhancement and compliance.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Proven HR Generalist experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong understanding of federal and state labor laws including OSHA compliance.
  • Experience with full-cycle recruitment for production technical and skilled trades positions.
  • Proficiency in managing employee relations conflict resolution and disciplinary actions.
  • Familiarity with workers' compensation processes and workplace safety programs.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and build rapport with a diverse workforce including shop floor employees.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience supporting a unionized workforce in a manufacturing setting.
  • Familiarity with OSHA regulations and manufacturing safety compliance.
  • Proficiency with manufacturing-specific timekeeping and HRIS systems.
  • Bilingual fluency (e.g. Spanish) to communicate with a diverse production team.
