Key Responsibilities

Manage full-cycle recruitment and onboarding for diverse manufacturing roles including production maintenance and engineering.
Provide guidance and support on employee relations issues including disciplinary actions grievances and conflict resolution within a plant environment.
Ensure compliance with all federal state and local employment laws as well as company policies and manufacturing-specific regulations (e.g. OSHA).
Administer compensation benefits and leave programs including accurate payroll processing and benefits enrollment for a shift-based workforce.
Partner with EHS and operations leadership to support safety initiatives and manage workers' compensation claims.
Facilitate performance management processes including annual reviews goal setting and performance improvement plans for plant personnel.
Identify training needs and coordinate development programs for manufacturing employees focusing on skills enhancement and compliance.

Recommended Qualifications

Proven HR Generalist experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Strong understanding of federal and state labor laws including OSHA compliance.
Experience with full-cycle recruitment for production technical and skilled trades positions.
Proficiency in managing employee relations conflict resolution and disciplinary actions.
Familiarity with workers' compensation processes and workplace safety programs.
Ability to effectively communicate and build rapport with a diverse workforce including shop floor employees.

Bonus Qualifications

Experience supporting a unionized workforce in a manufacturing setting.
Familiarity with OSHA regulations and manufacturing safety compliance.
Proficiency with manufacturing-specific timekeeping and HRIS systems.
Bilingual fluency (e.g. Spanish) to communicate with a diverse production team.
