Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle recruitment for production technical and administrative roles.
- Provide guidance and support on employee relations issues including conflict resolution and disciplinary actions.
- Ensure compliance with federal state and local labor laws and company HR policies particularly regarding safety.
- Administer HR programs such as onboarding benefits compensation and performance management.
- Support the development and implementation of training initiatives including safety and skills development.
- Handle workers' compensation claims and promote a safe working environment.
- Maintain accurate HR records and prepare HR reports for management.
Recommended Qualifications
- Minimum 3-5 years of HR Generalist experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws with practical application in a production setting.
- Demonstrated experience in full-cycle recruitment for various manufacturing roles including hourly production staff.
- Proven ability to manage employee relations performance management and conflict resolution.
- Familiarity with workplace safety regulations (e.g. OSHA) and best practices relevant to manufacturing operations.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience supporting a unionized workforce.
- Bilingual proficiency (e.g. Spanish/English).
- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies.
- Certification in a safety-related field (e.g. OSHA 10/30).
- Advanced proficiency with a specific HRIS common in manufacturing (e.g. UKG Pro ADP Workforce Now).
