Key Responsibilities

Lead and mentor a team of manufacturing engineers and technicians.
Manage engineering projects focused on process improvement new product introduction and equipment integration.
Develop and implement strategies to optimize manufacturing efficiency quality and cost.
Ensure all engineering activities comply with safety standards regulatory requirements and company policies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production quality and R&D to support operational goals.
Oversee the selection installation and maintenance of manufacturing equipment and systems.
Manage the engineering department budget and resource allocation effectively.

Recommended Qualifications

Proven experience leading and developing engineering teams within a manufacturing environment.
Strong technical background in relevant engineering disciplines (e.g. mechanical electrical industrial) and manufacturing processes.
Demonstrated ability to manage complex engineering projects from concept to successful implementation including budget and timeline oversight.
Expertise in applying continuous improvement methodologies (e.g. Lean Six Sigma) to optimize production processes and solve complex technical challenges.
Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills with a track record of working effectively with production quality and supply chain teams.

Bonus Qualifications

Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification or equivalent experience in continuous improvement methodologies.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
Proficiency with ERP and PLM systems (e.g. SAP Oracle Siemens Teamcenter).
Experience implementing advanced manufacturing technologies (e.g. automation robotics IoT).
