Key Responsibilities

Lead mentor and develop a team of manufacturing engineers.
Oversee the planning execution and completion of engineering projects within the manufacturing facility.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives for manufacturing processes equipment and product quality.
Provide technical expertise and strategic direction for complex engineering challenges and solutions.
Manage department budget resources and capital equipment investments.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations quality standards and industry best practices.
Collaborate cross-functionally to support production goals and new product introductions.

Recommended Qualifications

Proven experience leading mentoring and developing engineering teams in a manufacturing environment.
Deep understanding of manufacturing processes equipment and automation with a strong technical background in a relevant engineering discipline (e.g. mechanical electrical industrial).
Demonstrated ability to manage complex engineering projects from concept to completion including budget and timeline accountability.
Proficiency in implementing and driving continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve intricate manufacturing challenges.

Bonus Qualifications

Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification.
Experience with ERP or PLM systems (e.g. SAP Oracle Siemens Teamcenter).
Demonstrated experience with automation robotics or Industry 4.0 initiatives.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
