Key Responsibilities

• Develop and refine mechanical designs for manufacturing processes using CAD software.
• Apply Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles to optimize product designs.
• Create detailed engineering drawings specifications and Bills of Material (BOMs).
• Conduct feasibility studies stress analyses and simulations to validate design concepts.
• Collaborate with production quality and supply chain teams to ensure design implementation and resolve issues.
• Participate in prototyping testing and root cause analysis of design-related failures.
• Manage design changes and product lifecycle documentation throughout the development process.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering Industrial Design or a related field.
• Proficiency in industry-standard CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks CATIA Creo) for 3D modeling and technical drawings.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g. machining injection molding sheet metal fabrication) and material science.
• Experience applying Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
• Ability to perform engineering calculations tolerance analysis and design validation.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with advanced simulation software (FEA CFD).
• Demonstrated knowledge of Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
• Hands-on experience with prototyping testing and validation of designs.
• Familiarity with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.
