Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain standard costs for all manufactured products and processes.
• Conduct detailed variance analysis for production costs material usage and labor efficiency.
• Prepare and analyze monthly inventory valuations including raw materials WIP and finished goods.
• Generate comprehensive cost reports for management highlighting key performance indicators and cost drivers.
• Assist in the annual budgeting and forecasting processes specifically for manufacturing costs.
• Identify and recommend cost reduction opportunities and efficiency improvements within production.
• Analyze product profitability and provide insights to support pricing decisions and strategic planning.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting Finance or a related field; CMA or CPA certification preferred
• 3-5 years of cost accounting experience specifically within a manufacturing environment
• Proven proficiency with ERP systems (e.g. SAP Oracle) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong understanding of standard costing variance analysis inventory valuation and absorption costing
• Demonstrated ability to analyze production costs identify trends and provide actionable insights for cost reduction

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with advanced ERP costing modules (e.g. SAP CO Oracle Cost Management)
• Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI Tableau) or SQL
• Understanding of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles
• Experience with financial planning and analysis (FP&A) software (e.g. Hyperion Anaplan)
