Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and report on manufacturing costs including labor material and overhead.
- Develop maintain and update standard costs for products and processes.
- Perform detailed variance analysis (e.g. price quantity efficiency) and explain deviations.
- Manage inventory costing valuation and reconciliation processes.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and cost forecasts for production.
- Identify cost reduction opportunities and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Prepare accurate and timely cost of goods sold (COGS) reports.
Recommended Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 3-5 years of cost accounting experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g. SAP Oracle) and advanced Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of standard costing variance analysis and inventory valuation methods.
- Experience with budgeting forecasting and financial reporting in a manufacturing context.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with ERP system configuration or module implementation (e.g. SAP CO Oracle Manufacturing).
- Understanding of Lean manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies.
- Proficiency with data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI Tableau).
- Experience with SQL for data extraction and analysis.
