Key Responsibilities

• Design develop and program PLC/HMI applications for automated manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose complex electrical software and automation system issues.
• Implement and commission new control systems sensors and actuators on production lines.
• Provide technical support and training to maintenance and production personnel.
• Develop and maintain electrical schematics control documentation and software backups.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize machine performance and reliability.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements for all control systems.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g. Rockwell Studio 5000 Siemens TIA Portal) and industrial control system design.
• Experience with HMI/SCADA development and visualization platforms (e.g. FactoryTalk View Ignition WinCC).
• Strong understanding of industrial communication protocols (e.g. Ethernet/IP Profinet Modbus TCP/IP).
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot commission and optimize automated manufacturing equipment.
• Knowledge of industrial electrical systems motor controls (VFDs servo drives) and instrumentation.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with SCADA development platforms (e.g. Ignition WinCC iFIX) and database integration (e.g. SQL).
• Proficiency in a higher-level programming language (e.g. Python C#) for data analysis or custom tool development.
• Familiarity with industrial robot programming and integration (e.g. Fanuc Kuka ABB).
• Knowledge of industrial network architecture and cybersecurity best practices.
• Experience with machine vision systems (e.g. Cognex Keyence) for inspection or guidance.
