Salary Range: $48000 - $79000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Lansing seeking CNC Machinists who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC machinery (lathes mills grinders) according to specifications.
Read and interpret engineering blueprints technical drawings and G-code.
Perform in-process and final inspections of machined parts using precision measuring tools.
Monitor machine operations detect malfunctions and make necessary adjustments to ensure quality.
Load and unload raw materials and finished parts ensuring proper material handling.
Change and replace worn tools inserts and other machine components as needed.
Perform routine machine maintenance and cleaning to ensure optimal performance and longevity.

Recommended Qualifications

Proficiency in setting up and operating CNC mills and/or lathes.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints schematics and G-code/M-code.
Skilled in using precision measuring instruments (calipers micrometers gauges).
Strong understanding of tooling fixtures and work holding devices.
Experience with in-process quality control and identifying machining defects.

Bonus Qualifications

Proficiency with CAD/CAM software (e.g. Mastercam Fusion 360 SolidWorks CAM).
Experience with CMM operation or other advanced metrology tools.
Ability to perform basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience.
